Mama's Birthday

Mama turned 60...shhh don't tell her I told! this year so Catherine and I decided to do something special. We took her up to a cabin to spend the night with just her girls and spend an entire Saturday lounging around, playing scrabble, talking, and eating her favorite snacks...I think we went through 3 bags of M & Ms! We had so much fun! On Sunday- we surprised her more by having my brother, Papa & Iantha, & the husbands and grand kids drive up for a nice family dinner. Halloween 2009

We had a fun filled Halloween. First- Gabe and I went to an all adult 80s themed party a couple of weeks before Halloween. It was so much fun dressing up and dancing to all the music from growing up. Then we had the annual trunk-or-treat at church and of course pumpkin carving and trick or treating at our house on Halloween night! It was a fun year for the kids. Ella Turns 3!

It is hard to believe that my little girl is 3 already. Time goes by so fast. I actually forgot to post anything about her birthday on here because poor thing was born on the first day of school the year she was born so her birthday will always fall during the craziness of back to school! Sorry baby girl! We had a fun party for her at Monkey Joe's with all little girls and LOTS of pink. She is so in to pink, barbie, dolls, and anything girl...it is so cute. I love having a girl and feel so blessed to have Ella in my life! To see the full party, click here.

Daniel Gets Married

Gabe's baby brother Daniel got married on August 15th. We were so happy that we got to go to California and be there for the wedding. We could not be more happy with the sweet girl that he married. Amy seems so sweet and just right for Daniel. They bring out the best in each other. We were so proud of Daniel and all the steps he took to be able to get married for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple. Congratulations to you both. Heidi's "Surprise" Birthday Party

We had fun throwing Heidi an all girls surprise birthday party! I think she really was surprised! We swam, ate some of Heidi's yummy favorite foods, and watched her open some fun gifts that will doll her up with her smokin hot new look!!! We love you Heidi- hope you had fun. Garrett has been such a fun addition to our family and a wonderful blessing! I am in love with my baby boy each and every day that I lay my eyes on him. He has such a sweet and loving spirit. Garrett is learning new words each day saying uh-oh, bye, bye, peek-boo, & bite, just to name a few. We have enjoyed this first year so much and look forward to many more to come. Happy 1st Birthday Carter

I was so worried he would touch the candle like Ella had...I had to hold his hand.

Carter is an amazing little boy who steals your heart. I have fallen in love with him so many times again and again this year. His cute personality will win you over. He is sweet and fun. He is patient and calm...a sweet boy with a loving soul. We have been so blessed by him during the last year and look forward to so many more wonderful years to come!

Gabe's mom is in Georgia staying with his brother for a while so she drove up for dinner and our little firework show. The kids were excited to show off all the fireworks to grandma and they were thrilled that she remembered the air horns she had been promising them...thanks grandma! :)

This was our "Grand Finale"...not so Grand I know- but the kids liked it and they all think their dads are so cool!

Nashville 2009

So Kandis- here's my official post from Nashville- thanks for letting me "sponge" off yours for a few weeks until I could get mine up. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!

Gabe and I were sort of using this as an "anniversary" trip since that is coming up for us. We went to the Opryland Hotel to check out all the Rainforest scenery. We enjoyed our time with no children and getting to relax with eachother and no real schedules.

This is LP Field where the "Big" concert was held each night with tons of great artist each night. The crowd was amazing...50,000 people!

Hunter is just the cutest sweetest thing ever. You literally did not even know we had a baby with us the whole time...he was so good. I don't even think he ever cired even one time.

Nashville's best dressed...well for this weekend anyway. There were so many half naked people running around every where we felt proud to have some modesty about us. And our husbands thought we looked better than all the other women...of course that's what they told us anyway!

Beach 2009

We tried to get everyone together for a quick picture in front of the ocean before we left...but with the sun ans 7 people we could not get everyone looking!
This is how Ella was every time we tried to get her out to the ocean- turn around and run in the other direction. I think she was scared of it. She spent a lot of time inside.

Cat, Ryan, & the girls went with us. All the cousins had a blast jumping waves.

All the little ones. They looked so cute in their sun hats. We had someone ask us if they were tripplets! The twins are as big as Olivia now.

We went to Edisto Island, SC this past week. Catherine, Ryan, & the girls went along with us. We all went in together to rent an awesome beach house that was right on the ocean...that was amazing. We had a lot of fun watching the kids create memories that will last a lifetime. My mom went along for the ride and helped us man the house.

It is so hard to believe that Ezra is 4. He has been such a blessing to our family over those 4 years. We are blessed to have him in our lives. He is a sweet boy who is full of energy and life. He keeps us on our toes at all times and has a silly sense of humor. We had a great time celebrating his birthday on Saturday with family and friends- thanks for coming everyone...especially last minute! Our pirate theme was a success with the kids. They all enjoyed our treasure hunt and of course the pinata! I was the most pleased with the treasure box cake- which I made all myself!!!

Easter 2009

Easter was fun this year with all the kids. I enjoyed coloring eggs with the 3 older kids...they had a ball with it. After church we got together with the cousins and a few other friends for an egg hunt. All the kids had a great time hunting over 250 eggs! (and the dads LOVED hiding all those eggs). I'm sure we'll find one or two more this spring and summer that were left behind!
