It is so hard to decide between keeping up with people on BLOG or FaceBook. I don't have time to post pictures and such on both. Doing the BLOG seems more personal to me...on FaceBook all everyone can see everything. On BLOG- it really is only the people who actually have an interest in your life or are board to death who take the time to look at things. Does anyone else have an opinion on this? I am considering not putting stuff on FaceBook anymore- just on here...

Hope you have enjoyed all my updates...because there may not be any for a while. At Eli's school play yesterday I was doing the video camera and handed Gabe my regular camera to take still shots and he accidentally dropped it. It won't take pictures anymore. I have to see if it is covered under warranty. When I bought it I did buy the extra 5 year plan because the camera was so expensive...but now I have to figure out how to send it in...so needless to say...I won't have pictures from the holidays...I am SO sad! I may try and figure something else out but until then...enjoy the updates and Merry Christmas!

Ella LOVES her girl cousins...I mean just can't get enough. She especially loves Olivia who I think she kinda treats like her little sister and who sadly will just have to do as just that...

My little nephew Joseph is already changing and getting so big. It won't be long now before he is all over with Garrett and Carter. Such a sweetie!

Carter did not mind Santa, Garrett was not having it, Eli could not wait to see him, and Ezra and Ella would not get near him...so this is what we got.

This is Eli's 1st Grade Class. I went to the school to help make Gingerbread houses with the kids. It was so much fun. Eli's turned out so cute. He is such a perfectionist!

This is what we have been up to so far this month. Class parties, family parties, and the like. It is a busy but fun time of year. It is a time that fills us with much joy and happiness as we reflect on the things that are the most important to us...like family, friends, and our Savior- Jesus Christ! Merry Christmas!

Eli's Scouts

This was Eli's first little Pack Meeting for Scouts. He got awarded his Totum and was also recognized for being in the top 6 for popcorn sales for the entire pack (he was $6 from being the #1 seller...I'm just saying...no proud momma here...just stating the facts). Thanks to everyone who supported that effort...especially a certain Aunt B. who placed a very large order that put us towards the top!

Ezra has learned to ride his bike with.....DRUM ROLL PLEASE....NO TRAINING WHEELS!!! Way to go buddy! He is so proud! He has actually been strong enough and had the endurance for a good while but has lacked the self confidence. Now he's got it. We were very excited for him and he could not be more proud of his new accomplishment...so much so that when we went visiting for Thanksgiving I had to tote the bike in the back of the truck so that he could show each and every family member personally!

All I can say is- how beautiful is she? I loved this dress...she looks so pretty and grown up...no baby here! She's all little girl. She loved putting on her pretty dress and could not wait to get dressed for the wedding. Of course by the end of the night she was ready to take it off but she did a good job and looked lovely in her dress!

Eli Turn 7- My Little Hunter!

Eli wanted a Hunting Party this year and Hunting Party he got! It was fantastic...thanks to the "Deer Slayer"- aka Uncle Ryan! He came over and gave the boys a class on gun safety...showed them about 6-7 different real guns and the bullets that go with them, gave them a quiz, and then all the boys got to shoot at our deer targets that Gabe drew. We ended things around the campfire roasting marshmallows and making smores. Eli had so much fun! I cannot believe that my baby is 7. He is growing up way too fast. It is a little sad for me. He is starting to get to that embarrassed age about loving on mom in public...tear tear!

Fall Family Camping Trip

I almost did not bother posting about this because it was really a horrible trip! We went on our annual fall camping trip where my father was riding in BRAG (bike ride across Georgia). We thought we could camp while he rode (50-70 miles per day) and maybe we could ride some with the kids and then all be together in the afternoon/evenings. What we did not realize was that it would be over 100 degrees in mid-October. Our campsite had fire ants and we were tent camping. There was NOTHING for the kids to do but wonder around. On day 2 my sister and I showered all the kids...buckled them in the car watching a movie while we finished getting ready and drove to an air conditioned store where we walked around just to try and stay cool. When we got back (and the other folks were back from riding for the day) we decided...we came, we saw, we took the picture...now we're going home...so we packed up and drove right back home. NEVER again will I camp with little ones in that hot of weather!!!

Mama's Birthday

Mama turned 60...shhh don't tell her I told! this year so Catherine and I decided to do something special. We took her up to a cabin to spend the night with just her girls and spend an entire Saturday lounging around, playing scrabble, talking, and eating her favorite snacks...I think we went through 3 bags of M & Ms! We had so much fun! On Sunday- we surprised her more by having my brother, Papa & Iantha, & the husbands and grand kids drive up for a nice family dinner. Halloween 2009

We had a fun filled Halloween. First- Gabe and I went to an all adult 80s themed party a couple of weeks before Halloween. It was so much fun dressing up and dancing to all the music from growing up. Then we had the annual trunk-or-treat at church and of course pumpkin carving and trick or treating at our house on Halloween night! It was a fun year for the kids. It is hard to believe that my little girl is 3 already. Time goes by so fast. I actually forgot to post anything about her birthday on here because poor thing was born on the first day of school the year she was born so her birthday will always fall during the craziness of back to school! Sorry baby girl! We had a fun party for her at Monkey Joe's with all little girls and LOTS of pink. She is so in to pink, barbie, dolls, and anything girl...it is so cute. Daniel Gets Married

Gabe's baby brother Daniel got married on August 15th. We were so happy that we got to go to California and be there for the wedding. We could not be more happy with the sweet girl that he married. Amy seems so sweet and just right for Daniel. They bring out the best in each other. We were so proud of Daniel and all the steps he took to be able to get married for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple. Congratulations to you both. So Kandis- here's my official post from Nashville- thanks for letting me "sponge" off yours for a few weeks until I could get mine up. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!

Gabe and I were sort of using this as an "anniversary" trip since that is coming up for us. We went to the Opryland Hotel to check out all the Rainforest scenery. We enjoyed our time with no children and getting to relax with eachother and no real schedules.

Beach 2009

We tried to get everyone together for a quick picture in front of the ocean before we left...but with the sun ans 7 people we could not get everyone looking!
This is how Ella was every time we tried to get her out to the ocean- turn around and run in the other direction. I think she was scared of it. She spent a lot of time inside.

Cat, Ryan, & the girls went with us. All the cousins had a blast jumping waves.

All the little ones. They looked so cute in their sun hats. We had someone ask us if they were tripplets! The twins are as big as Olivia now.

We went to Edisto Island, SC this past week. Catherine, Ryan, & the girls went along with us. We all went in together to rent an awesome beach house that was right on the ocean...that was amazing. We had a lot of fun watching the kids create memories that will last a lifetime. My mom went along for the ride and helped us man the house.

It is so hard to believe that Ezra is 4. He has been such a blessing to our family over those 4 years. We are blessed to have him in our lives. He is a sweet boy who is full of energy and life. He keeps us on our toes at all times and has a silly sense of humor. We had a great time celebrating his birthday on Saturday with family and friends- thanks for coming everyone...especially last minute! Our pirate theme was a success with the kids. They all enjoyed our treasure hunt and of course the pinata! I was the most pleased with the treasure box cake- which I made all myself!!!

Easter was fun this year with all the kids. I enjoyed coloring eggs with the 3 older kids...they had a ball with it. After church we got together with the cousins and a few other friends for an egg hunt. All the kids had a great time hunting over 250 eggs! (and the dads LOVED hiding all those eggs). I'm sure we'll find one or two more this spring and summer that were left behind!

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Gabe's parents came out to visit at the end of March for a couple of days. The kids were SO happy to see them...they love hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. It was also the first time Gabe's dad was getting to meet the babies so it was an exciting visit. It was over too quickly and we were sad that they had to go home but so happy for the little bit of time we did get with them.

As you can see I have had a hard time keeping up with our BLOG. We are so busy that I hardly even have time to take the pictures let alone post them...especially when we have the slowest Internet and it takes forever to upload. I have also been busy with my new love and our newest addition- homemade wheat bread...I mean the kind I grind the wheat to make. My dad gave us a wheat grinder for Christmas which we had been wanting and I have not bought bread since. It is wonderful and I love the healthy bread we are eating! I'll try to do better about posting and at least get a couple of pictures on here before the twins turn 1! hahahaha :)

We rang in the New Year at the McFarland's Polar Jump Party! We enjoyed good food and friends and yes...at midnight we jumped in to their FREEZING pool. We got in the hot tub right after so it was not that bad. No- I'm lying...it was SOOOOOO cold!!!! We had a lot of fun...thanks to the McFarlands for a fun night. I had 5 pictures attached to this but I think because they were taken with Heidi's fancy 5 million dollar camera they will not upload...I've been trying for over an hour on just those pictures...sorry!!!

This Christmas is special because our family has added 3 children (the twins and my niece Olivia). Tonight we had our first official Christmas get together and Olivia was having so much fun lovin' on Carter. I think they will be good buddies. Family is such a blessing and I'm so thankful to have cousins close for my kids to grow up with...although it would be great if they had their California cousins here too...anyone up for a move! :)

Yesterday we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch with the cousins to celebrate Eli's birthday. (With Thanksgiving coming up we just did not do a big to do) but I did have cupcakes, etc. So anyway in trying to get out the door with babies in car seats and some kids going with me and some in daddy's car- I left my CAMERA there! Not like a little $59 camera either- my digital rebel! I was sick at my stomach and got all upset. I called and ask if they had a lost and found and they ask me what I was looking for and I told them my camera and they looked in their office and low and behold there it was. All I can say is that I am thankful that they have hostesses that work there who are helpful and come behind you to straighten up your area after you leave! That would NEVER happen at McDonald's- so eat more chicken and thank goodness I got my camera back! I will post more pictures soon.

Daddy had fun playing with the babies...he got Carter laughing but Garrett had his eyes on mommy.

The biggest popcorn ball ever! My friend Bonnie makes the best carmel corn. She made me a bowl of it on Halloween and the next morning when I went to get some out of the bowl it had all formed to the bowl like this so I just dug in anyway. Thanks Bonnie- it was AWESOME!!!

My mom had a little activity to do with all the kids for Halloween. She brought over hot chocolate that turns orange when you stir it. She also had little goody bags for all the kids with pumpkin peeps and other fun things. The kids enjoyed spending time with her and being silly.

We had a big crowd for treak-or-treating...our 3 big kids, my sister's 3 kids, and some friends- the Peeks all went out for the goodies.

Eli wanted to play soccer last year- but there was too much going on (as if there's not this year! :)...so I decided to let him do it this year- but I could not have done that without the help of my friend Kandis- she agreed to take him and bring him home each time since Mason was playing too. My mom is such a blessing in my life. She is so good with the kids and is really a rock for me. She has become one of my best friends the older and wiser I get. I guess she's been wise all along...but now I am catching on. I hope you had a great birthday mom- I love you so much!

Our Camping Trip

Ella and Ezra enjoyed hanging out in the hammock...notice Ella's Dora panties...she loves them and can't wait to put them one each morning...she has been potty trained for about a month or so now...way to go Ella!!!

Granddaddy loves to ride bikes and now has a few friends to ride with.

We had a campfire and made smores...everyone loved that. One of the pictures of that got moved to the top by accident and I can't move it back- but you get the idea.

The kids loved the new swing set...it has so many fun things on it...granddaddy went ALL out!!!

We had to cut away some branches to make room for the new swing set...the kids had fun dragging the limbs off to the brush pile.

The girls mostly watched while the guys worked...but we did haul a few tree limbs.

This is sweet Sabrina- my brother's new wife...and they just found out that they will be having a baby in April and my brother is thrilled that the Carter name will live on...it's a BOY!!!

The guys worked real hard building the swingset...making sure that everything was perfect.

The horse swing my dad put up was so much fun...I wanted to ride it so bad but the spring in it had like an 80 lb limit.

We have all enjoyed the apples from my dad's orchid this year...I've actually been canning some applesauce and applebutter to give for Christmas.

Their new hideout- a tent!

Olivia and the twins took it pretty easy all weekend.

Every year we do a fall trip with my dad and stepmom and my sister's family. This year we decided to do it at my dad's house due to having 3 new babies in our family this year (the twins plus my sister's Olivia). We also thought it would be cheaper than renting and closer for those who could not take off work. We had a blast. The fellows built a swingset for the kiddos on Saturday with a little assistance from the kids. It was a great success...everyone loved it.

Our friend Heidi had a surprise party for her husband John who was turning 30. The only requirement was that you dress up so this is me and Gabe at the event. I was a police officer (wearing Gabe's old jailer uniform) and Gabe was "under arrest". My sister Catherine and her husband Ryan were Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. We had fun at this all adult party- imagine that- a night out with just grown-ups! It was great.

Blessing Day

This is Garrett- he is such a sweet little marshmellow of a fellow. He is so fun to squeeze and love on. He is happiest when being held and melts in to your arms. This is my little Carter Man. He is so cute to look at and his eyes are always bright and cheery. He is simple to please and easy to be content. Everyone loves his soft hair (which he is loosing).
It is a special time when you bless your children. We had the opportunity to bless 2 children today- the twins- Carter James and Garrett Gabriel. It was neat to hear their father give each boy a unique and amazing blessing. I am thankful that Gabe is worthy to do this. We had a lot of family their to support us and our very special neighbors- the Elrods as well. The boys are getting so big. They will be 11 weeks old tomorrow and the last time I weighed them they were 10 lbs 10 oz for Carter and 11 lbs 4 oz for Garrett. Their personalities are so different and they are both such a joy to have!

When You Know it's worth it...

Any mom of a newborn can tell you and you probably know for yourself how exhausting and draining it all can be. It's a fact and it takes a toll on you after a while...my sister and I agree that that's why God allows babies to start smiling and cooing around 8 weeks...it melts your heart and makes you remember why it is all worth it. The twins were 8 weeks on Monday and both started smiling and reacting more with me. It was so amazing to me!!! I love that time so much! I tried to capture it on camera but they aren't quiet there yet. I feel so blessed to have these ever growing boys in my life...they are miracles.

FYI- Carter is now weighing in at 9lbs 14 oz and Garrett is 10 lbs 5 oz!!! They don't stay tiny long.

With boys the outdoors are forever coming in your house. Ezra took Ella on a "walk" around the back yard and came back in ever so excited that he had found a turtle. He was our pet for about a day until the boys were playing with him and forgot to re-confine him before they came in...lucky guy- he escaped!

My sister Catherine's birthday was back at the end of July but our family celebrated a little late and then of course I am a little behind posting stuff...so- here is a small little tribute to my little "big" sis (she is older you know!). Happy Anniversary to US!

Gabe and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary yesterday...September 4th! It is hard to believe that it has been 9 years, 5 kids, a college education, a trip to Iraq, 5 years military service, about 10 different jobs, living in 3 states, and numerous other things to say the least. It has been a good ride so far. We look forward to the next years to come. I love you babe!

Okay...so it has been 5 weeks since my preciuos bundles arrived. They are so sweet! They are growing VERY fast. They are each over 8 lbs now. I feel like I'm feeding someone all the time- I hope my body can keep up with this high demand...but we shall see. We attempted church today as a family of 7 and actually survived. Carter and Garrett looked so cute in their little outfits! (thanks Kandis for the shirts) We are all loving and enjoying our new additions...everything except the lack of sleep! :) But they are worth every bit of sleep I don't get. I am so blessed.

Aunt Betty's Visit

My Aunt Betty who we sometimes refer to as Aunt Precious (and man- was she ever this past week!) flew in from Canada to help us for a week. She was so wonderful! Ezra's First Day of "School"

We started Ezra in pre-school 2 mornings a week. He had been crying each day when Eli left because he wanted to go too. He was so excited...I got his clothes out that morning and he said no mom- clothes like Eli. I said well Eli has a uniform and they don't have uniforms for your school. He was upset so we proceeded to make a "uniform" like Eli's and he was happy.

Eli started school this year. It is hard to believe! He was a little excited and a little scared. He had a little bit of a hard time and so did I- but overall- he is loving school and doing well. Introducing...

Our twin boys were born yesterday 7-14-08. Everything went very well. I was able to deliver both vaginally and naturally (although we had a pretty good scare with baby "B" (Garrett) who almost had to be born via emergency C-section due to a decreasing heart rate). They are both so cute and look very different from each other. Carter was born first at 11:01am weighing 5.14 lbs and 18.25 inches long. Garrett came next at 11:24am weighing 6.8 lbs and 20 inches long. Both were healthy and strong. No NICU or anything. Right after clean-up I got to bring them to my room and we've been together since. They are both breastfeeding good and passing all their tests for various things. Their personalities are already different- it is so cute. Eli- Ezra- & Ella are SO excited and loved getting to meet them yesterday. I am doing well- of course tired- but good. I am more sore this time than I've ever been before but I guess that is to be expected delivereing two. I'll post more pictures later when I get some better shots of them.

Still have not set still long enough to post pictures...but maybe a long awaited hospital stay will allow me to do so! :) So- obviously no babies yet...everyone keeps checking. I'm hoping it will be any day as I literally am not sleeping (preparation for the next several months I'm sure) and I am at that "on edge" stage where you know it could be any day but don't really have any idea when it will happen. The great news to myself as with my other pregnancies is that no woman has ever been pregnant forever and neither will I! I will have to be induced on or around the 25th of July if they are not here by then to ensure optimal health of the boys. I'll keep everyone posted!

Counting Down

I am officially on the countdown to babies. Less than a month to go! (Probably more like another week-couple of weeks!) I am in nesting mode right now and hormonal overload if things aren't getting done...I want everything to be in order. We are working hard to get it all in place. I am getting excited...can't wait to meet my boys. Although I am the most physically uncomfortable I've ever been I have such mixed emotions about giving birth. I want it to get here so that I won't have 2 people inside of me crowding my space causing me to have a hard time eating, sleeping, and breathing at times...but on the other hand I am a little sad too because this will be my last time being pregnant and having that feeling of a baby growing and moving within (as far as we have planned right now...it would be an act of God if I were ever pregnant again). The babies are doing very well...both around 5 lbs now! I'll keep everyone posted...but for now I'm just excited and nervous all at once! More pictures to come when I slow down long enough to upload some...

Ezra turned 3 on May 3rd. We had a party a couple of weeks later with 2 friends from his pre-school class who were also turning 3. We had a fantastic turn out and all the kids had a blast.

I'm not really sure what happened here but I think Michael was "trying" to give Ella a hug or something and Ella just was NOT having it. She had this huge fit then pushed him away...well Michael then pushed her back and she threw this crying tantrum. It was really pretty funny.

The food was good and here's mama Becky working her tail off like usual- Thanks for all your help mama- I could not have pulled off this party without your help.
We had lots of yummy food and a fabulous cake. This picture of me with my girlfriend Ginny was about the only time I stopped all night. I enjoyed being around so many close friends and family- There were tons more pictures from the day...but I guess I'll spare you! :)

Since we could not invite a lot of people to the actually graduation we decided to have a party. There have been so many people who have supported us through these 4 years and we just wanted to celebrate with everyone. It was such a fun night filled with family, friends, food, and celebration! Gabe took time to recognize all the ladies who have supported him by saying something nice about each person and how they had helped him and gave each one flowers. Then he recognized all the men- but no flowers for them. :) It was very touching and most people had a least a tear or two.

This was the cutest shot of Gabe and Eli- Eli was proud of his daddy. He has been there along the whole way and being the eldest of our children- Eli has been the most aware of daddy being gone. He has been patient with the process and has loved the moments he could steal with his dad between work, homework, and school.

Mama Becky was so proud of Gabe and she has definitely been there for the ride supporting us in numerous ways. Catherine was at the big event too- but she had to leave before the pictures.
We were so happy for this day to finally arrive. It has been a long 4 years. I was very proud of Gabe and of course I have to boast just a little. Not only did he work full time while going to school but he took a full load each semester (not even taking summer off) and managed to graduate with a 3.7 academic GPA! WOW! We were also very thrilled when at the graduation they began describing an individual who had gone above- beyond- etc. and that this person was being named "Future Outstanding Educator"...as they continued describing the person and all the wonderful qualities I couldn't help but think- could that be Gabe...Catherine and mom were thinking the same thing. Then they said it- they said Gabriel Espinoza...I felt so much joy and excitement that his school had recognized the talent and potential that he has as an educator. It was so amazing that in that that big event he was one of only 2 "special surprise awards" given!

Each child in the class was assigned a solo to play and one to sing. Eli practiced so hard for his solo and I must say- I was so proud that he played his little song with both hands and didn't mess up one bit. I was also a little shocked that he sang in front of all those people without thinking twice about it.

Eli did pee-wee T-Ball for the first time this year. It was a 2 day a week thing for 4 weeks. He really enjoyed getting to play with his friends and is all ready to sign up for soccer this fall. It was so cute to watch all the kids trying to learn and understand what they were supposed to do.

One night for family night we decided to make individual strawberry shortcakes. Surprisingly- the boys did not really care for the whip cream but were all about the really large strawberries we bought. It was a fun activity and they loved "making" their own.

Although I do not really "agree" with making a big deal out of a kid completing pre-school...Eli did look cute in the little cap and gown. He had been wanting a trophy so I told him his plaque was sort of like a trophy and he was thrilled. He will be off to "big school" next year.

I have once again gotten so busy that I have not been able to post any pictures. I actually have a lot to post. Everyone wants to see pictures of me pregnant...now 7 months along! Gabe graduated so I have pictures from that too. Eli had his first piano recital where he played a solo so I am hoping to get the video of that on here too. I will probably not have time this week as things are so busy and my brother is getting married this weekend...but then we are going on vacation and I hope to be able to sit and relax and get some stuff on here then...so stay tuned for updates with pictures. I also have an OB appointment on Thursday where the boys will be weighed again so I can update with that info too...check back!

Noah built an Ark...so why not!

The boys were very proud of their daddy's building and love to play in it getting covered in saw dust and pretending that they are working. This is how I found them one day after I came down stairs from getting Ella dressed. Needless to say I had not gotten to Ezra's clothes yet.

We are in the process of converting our garage into a playroom so we had to come up with some place for all our stuff from the garage to live. We debated back and forth on weather to buy one build a tin type or build an actual solid wood one. We found several that we liked but to purchase one was going to be so expensive. Gabe decided to get one of the metal type buildings and put it together. After contemplating that for a day or so he thought it would take about the same amount of time to build a wood one and only cost a little bit more money. Well just like everything in life...it did not go exactly like that. It took WAY longer...but at least we know it is solid and done right and it cost like 3 times more money...but still about half as much as purchasing one and at least now we have it. He did almost all of it by himself too (which made me just a little proud!). We did have a little help from a neighbor and Ryan saved him when it came to the roof...no way he could have done that alone. All in all it turned out great. It is not all the way done but is very close. I am very impressed and told Gabe that if we had a flood I would trust him to build us a boat!

For Spring Break we had a lot of projects going on at our house so we could not go any where for the whole week. We decided to take a little overnight trip to Atlanta and go to Stone Mountain. The kids had so much fun. They loved seeing real monster trucks and riding the boat around the mountain.

Every year- Challenged Child and Friends (the pre-school where the children go a few mornings a week) puts on a production for the parents and families to watch. Each class works very hard on their performances. Ella wanted nothing to do with being on the stage, Ezra did a great job singing and dancing with his class and Eli had his routine down pat with his square dance partner Nina. It was so fun to watch.

A whole month has past...sigh!

Wow- I can't believe a whole month has past since I posted last. Times are crazy busy. Most people probably heard by now...that yes we are expecting...again...and that it is TWINS! I was shocked for about a month and could really not think about anything else but now I am getting used to the idea and am very excited! I had an appointment Monday and got a little sneak peak on the ultrasound but will get my official gender results next Thursday. So- if you are curious...there is no doubt a little boy in there and the other will be confirmed next week so stay tuned! This is not the best picture...but here is one at 12 weeks of both babies!
